Prisoners desperately await the once-a-week visits by their loved ones. The human contact – the sight of their precious family members – breathes life and hope for a better tomorrow. Dror’s team of dedicated volunteers graciously provides transportation for families to the designated prisons, often spending all day en route. All gas and toll expenses are solely Dror’s expense. Dror understands the significance of these visits; the positive feelings they leave in the hearts of the mothers and children, and the light it sheds into a forlorn cell. For the prisoners that have no family, Dror’s volunteers become their family. Frequent visits and phone calls make the prisoners feel loved and taken care of.
