Our Update # 22
Family Support
The Dror women once again enjoyed an amazing night out, held this time in China Glatt. Dining out in China Glatt was a real treat to these women.
They enjoyed heartwarming words from a fantastic speaker who spoke and then conducted a beautiful and uplifting musical Kumzitz. She spoke about the meaning of each song and then played moving songs on her guitar. As they sat and sang together, they felt truly united and not alone.
Thank you to Mr. Vitriol from China Glatt for so graciously hosting us. A Thank you to “Sweet Choice” for the beautiful souvenirs.
Legal Team
Our Liaison to the state, Mr. Abe Eisner, coordinated an event at which Chaim Hersh Freund and Amrom Israel went to open the 1st Kosher Kitchen for State Prisons.
All Jewish inmates in State prisons will receive fresh kosher meals under the Hashgocha of the OU and Rabbi Binyamin Gruber. In attendance at the event were numerous chaplains from state prisons.
Inmate Assistance
A worried wife called Dror that her husband is unfortunately sitting in a prison in another state, far from her hometown and is thus very lonely without visitors. Dror immediately arranged for visitors to visit the inmate and bring some light to the darkness.
Kollel M’Haram M’Rottenberg
A new Chaburah in Otisville began learning Hilchos Basar B’Chalav under our Kollel program. Thank you to Rabbi Richter for all he does for Dror and the unfortunate inmates.
Pesach
Dror takes a time when the children miss their fathers most and infuses Simcha in their Yom Tov in every possible way, like distributing tickets to popular plays and shows and even giving tickets to Universal Studios in Orlando for families spending Yom Tov there.
A special thank you to the Lissauer Sisters Malky & Toby, Kupas Chassanim D’Bobov, The Varsha Yidden, Shloime Perl, Berl Strohli and our dear partner from Aleph-Shua Brook for making this possible.
The families were very appreciative as is evident in the messages we received: “Wanted to thank you for the tickets and gift cards! We all really enjoyed!”
“Thank you so much for thinking of us over Pesach and for the generous gift card and guide for Chol HaMoed activities. It was such a considerate surprise and very much appreciated.”

Dror provided Kosher food for Pesach for Jewish inmates, upon the request of some facilities.
An amazing and moving article appeared in the Mishpacha Magazine Pesach supplement written by Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin. We attached the article here for all of you to enjoyed and be inspired by. May this be the last Pesach behind bars for him and all of Klal Yisroel.
Volunteers
Dror delivered Mishloach Manos to our volunteers as a small token of appreciation for all that they do throughout the year, always with a smile.
Our dedicated and devoted volunteer coordinator, Yanky Einhorn, arranged countless rides for family members to visit their loved ones.
Rides arranged include numerous long distance and full day trips. Children who were leaving out of town for Yom Tov and who haven’t seen their father while they were in Yeshiva, got an opportunity to see their fathers and wish them a Gut Yom Tov.
On Chol Hamoed as well, rides were arranged for family members of inmates.
For one inmate, these visitors were the only yiddishe faces he saw throughout Pesach.
A special Thank you to Yanky Einhorn and his fleet of volunteers for giving of their time to bring some joy to these families.
